In the above video, I film my mom making shrimp chips with our wok. At the end, you can hear her saying something along the lines of "Yo, you took mad pictures already, what the hell are you doing??" And that is how I stay home helping Mom with food preparation and slothery every year.

The deformed little ones are there on the side there... because... I said so... HA.

Our fortune cat lookin cute as always.

Red is always good. The more the merrier... why NOT?

Hello Kitty red envelopes I got from Hong Kong for my sister so she can give them back to me with money :D. This one is cool because you can make the pink HK move by pulling out the helicopter tail. I also bought a Snoopy fries one for her.
Wonder how Hong Kong does their Chinese New Year?

Limited Edition Octopus Cards from the MTR, their public transportation system. You just tap these cards and move along. Like cattle.

Big mall display at the mall in Kowloon Bay. Look at the size of this monster compared to that little man on the bottom right corner. AND it spins!

Happy cows are habitated in the Stanley Mall.

A strong angry cow you are indeed. I don't wanna mess with you. Nor take your money coins geez.

Flattened cow.

MORE COWS. In multifaceted colors and shapes. Because it is the year of the ox, that's why.

Subtle decorations.

And it's great that not all decor has to be red yellow and flashing.

At Harbour City Mall, the decorations changed in a matter of days when they had to switch from Christmas/New Years to Chinese New Year. It was incredible to see the good use of design thought and space to make this transformation possible.

IFC had some goldfish swimming around too.

After the Indigo Child exhibition by Carrie Chau, these Chinese New Year cylinder thingies were put up for more photo fun.

Uhh... these were HUGE.

I even caught some sale signs in the form of cubies with hair.

MTR wishes you a safe and happy Chinese new year of the ox!
