Wintery Things

I got a deal in the mail where you can get Wintuk mezzanine seats for $18-24, but the fuckin service charge fee is $10 extra??? That's not a deal!! lol hm... contemplating contemplating... but I would LOVE to go see it! I liked Corteo a lot, and La Vie was friggin awesome too even though it's not by Cirque.. although some of the performers used to be apart of it :P

The Pond at Bryant Park (an ice skating rink presented by Citi)

Looking forward to taking my nephew there with my sister next Tuesday if global warming is not a big crybaby. The space and atmosphere adjusts and improves by a lot each year since its introduction in 2005. Their much more appealing furniture design and interior booths are so much better than the old shabby 'whatever that works and is sturdy enough so these people won't sue us' benches and tables. They even have a photo center now where you can buy prints of your group instantly.. ah Citi you are getting smarter. Even next door neighbor Celsius Lounge has a new upper level 'tower' where you can look over the ice skating rink from above while fine dining and wining.

The only problem is with this rink's increasing popularity, lines can stretch out for over an hour's wait during weekends and peak times. If lines there are insanity, Chelsea Piers offers a Fall family special with food included. And Rockefeller Center has a rink in winter by the tree even though it has a super expensive tourist stench there...

Urban Oufitters - Charlie Brown Tree
But the Rockefeller tree is always fun to stare at with friends- here is a nice history of it cuz we all love timelines. Mad photo opps there too- there are pro photographers who take your pic and let you download free low res jpgs online with the option of purchasing high res prints. Not a bad souvenir memento if it's a good shot of you and your loved ones. Nearby is also a yearly snowflakes light show :) I love lights. lovelovelove them!

//add-on//
What is with the ice skating craze this year in NYC?? Seaport Ice and AMNH Polar Rink are both opening this year too!
