Graphic Heroes, Magic Monsters

Took a stroll over to Japan Society after work to check out the Graphic Heroes, Magic Monsters exhibition of Japanese prints by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. I didn't have my camera on hand to keep me company, so I shall steal some shots off their site ... which they stole from other sites! The exhibition goes on through June 13th – drop on by if you're nearby on free admission Fridays 6-9pm.

And whoops didn't know I was supposed to pay to see a film in the theater! I was just coming out of the basement bathrooms and wandered in the theater :P no one checked stubs though. I saw the middle/ending of Seisaku's Wife (清作の妻
).

Random fact time: Today was the first time I've ever seen a pool table without pockets before at a pool hall! That my friends, is actually called a "Coin Billiard Table." You only play wit three balls – one is yours and the other is your opponent's. I was gonna look up how to play but then realized I am nowhere near the level where I can even understand what "three-cushion billiards" mean. But yup, pretty cool looking haha.
